LAPOM – Livingston Area Parents of Multiples

Welcome!

The Livingston Area Parents of Multiples (LAPOM) is a non-profit organization committed to mutual support and education for parents, guardians and primary caregivers of multiples, and their families. At LAPOM we exchange ideas, provide understanding and friendship with other parents who are aware of the unique experiences of raising multiples. We are open to all parents of multiple birth children. We meet once a month and offer a “support group” for new parents by giving them an opportunity to share their experiences. Besides providing this valuable exchange of ideas, LAPOM also sponsors clothing, equipment and toy sales. We also host various social functions that include all family members. For more information on membership options, please contact our Membership Chair.

We are centrally located in Livingston County, Michigan. We are north of Ann Arbor, just south of Genesee County, and to the west of Metro Detroit. We serve the surrounding communities including but not limited to Howell, Brighton, South Lyon, Fowlerville, Hartland, Hamburg, Pincnkey, and Whitmore Lake.

September Monthly Meeting – 9/15/11

Don’t forget that there will be a Mom2Mom sellers meeting preceding our general meeting on 9/15. All sellers are expected to attend. The agenda is as follows:

6:30: New Moms meet and greet

7pm: Sellers Meeting. It’s that time again. Please join us for our sellers meeting. There have been a few changes to the sales process so it is very important that all sellers attend. If you cannot attend this meeting, please contact Michelle to sign up for a shift assignment.

Since we had no response to the babysitter/caregiver meet and greet, we have chosen to host a recipe exchange and Guess Who program. Bring your favorite appetizer and salad recipes to swap and get some new recipes in return. If you can’t make it to the meeting or you forget to get a recipe from another member, don’t worry, we will compile all the recipes and put into book form for you to enjoy.

For the Guess Who part of the night, you will have to provide us with 4 interesting facts about you. The more outrageous, funny and interesting they are the better. Then the members in attendance will have to guess who that person is. If you guess correctly on your first try, you will receive a door prize.

Snacks:

B/B bring something healthy or a drink
B/G bring something salty
G/G bring something sweet
Triplets bring anything you want
Pregnant and prospective Moms just come and enjoy!

August Monthly Meeting

Need some time away to have a little fun? LAPOM will be hosting a night of Bingo. Bring your lucky charms and see if you win a great door prize.

Social time will start at 6:30 pm with business matters and question & answer period to follow at 7.  Festivities will begin at 7:30p.

Starting this month we will be trying something new for snacks to share. Because our meetings start at 6:30p, many of our members do not get to eat before they come. So, here is what we will do:

  • B/B bring something salty
  • B/G bring something sweet
  • G/G bring something healthy
  • Triplets bring anything you want
  • Those that are pregnant & prospectives, just come and enjoy!

The club will provide paper goods and ice. Let’s see how this goes. If it is not successful, we will go back to the signup sheet and hope that people participate.
