Are you expecting? Did you have your babies early?
LAPOM has a preemie closet! Do your babies need some smaller clothes? Or do you have some to donate? The closet, filled with donations from club members, offer new multiples parents the option to borrow the preemie sizes rather than buying. Buying preemie clothing can be expensive for the short time you need them.
Families in need meal program
Willing to make a meal for a family in need? This is a program that provides meals for new moms of multiples, bedrest moms-to-be, new babies in general, layoffs or going through hard times, illness/surgery/injury, or any family who could use some ready-made meals to help them out.
LAPOM has various playgroups from month to month. Our MOMs have found that one of the best ways to get out of the house with young multiples is to go to a playgroup where there are other MOMs to help. Playgroups range from gatherings at members’ homes to monthly visits at local gymnastics facilities to annual favorites like Spicer’s Orchard. Playgroups are a fantastic way to get to know other club members and give your kids a chance to play with other multiples.
LAPOM sponsors several family events throughout the year – our annual picnic averages about 25 families who get together for summer family fun. We also host a Fall Harvest Event, Winter Holiday Party, and other family gatherings during the year.
We all love to spend time with our children but also enjoy the occasional night out with our friends. LAPOM schedules both moms night out and couples night out activities throughout the year. Past activities have included ball games, summer adult BBQ’s, Whirly Ball, and road rallies.
Community Outreach & Volunteerism
LAPOM is committed to supporting our local community. We participate in local fundraisers & events such as charity run/walks, backpack and diaper drives that help families in need, and plan on offering help and support to moms of multiples at the Livingston County Community Baby Shower.
